Quiver0f10
We just met them so I don't know her likes/dislikes yet. I don't think she wears jewlery and they don't watch TV etc. Any (inexpensive) ideas?

Tracey in TX
bracelet kit (beads, etc) book store gift card beach towel w/ flip flops funky purse One of my favorite gifts is a cheap, clearance sale knick-knack style container ($5 max) with $20 inside. Target had darling Indian style trinket boxes and they were always a hit. Looks high dollar (ROFL) with moolah inside.

Natalieclare
My girls around that age always appreciate journals, sketchbooks, and stationary. There are so many options out there in this category and many are relatively inexpensive. They receive a lot of body products, but honestly, while they like fun scents, they use this stuff reeeeeeal slowly.
Starr
We find these sorts of fun things in our dollar store. :)
Nestof3
How about a small scrapbook kit -- 6x6 size. You can get great deals with coupons at Michaels and AC Moore. Small ones are not as hard as larger ones. Or, how about a cute journal and special pen? Or, stationery and pen?
Kareni
Possibilities: A gift certificate to a thrift store (a good way of making your gift money go further!) A gift certificate to Trader Joe's or to an ice cream store An invitation for her to join your family (or one or more of your children) for a trip to the movies or on some other outing (a good way of getting to know her better and vice versa) A paperback that's a favorite of one of your own children Regards, Kareni
