5LittleMonkeys
I know not everyone follows IEW's new product releases so I wanted to put this out there. This would be an amazing resource if you follow a 4 year literature based history rotation. Or, even if you don't and need classics to line up with whatever time period you are studying. Enjoy! delaney
This is like history through the ages, right? A book list organized by time period?
brookspr
I just got a new IEW catalog yesterday and was so excited to see this in there!
Tess in the Burbs
I like it. Especially the location of the story. Would be easy to pass off to older child and have them pick out what sounds interesting to them for the time period you are studying. Going through and marking off the ones we have read for elementary and making library lists :-)
Hunter
BUMP!!! There is…like…NO discussion of this book at this forum. :confused1: I just saw this book today in the new Rainbow catalog. Did anyone buy it?
Coco_Clark
I'm also curious if anyone has seen this yet. Especially if tat person has also seen All Through The Ages and can compare. I have the latter and I wonder if this new book is better/more updated/worth it.
Arboreal TJ
I have it. It's a booklist. It's convenient reference. The entire book is laid out like the sample pages. I like the pdf format, i can print one for every child and mark off when we/they read a book listed. I have not seen All Through the Ages to compare. edeemarie
I had it, but I also own All Through the Ages. I ended up selling Timeline of Classics because I much prefer All Through the Ages, which seems to be more comprehensive to me. I also like that ATtA separates books into specific categories like general history, biography, etc. But that could just be a personal preference. jaderbee
I'm not seeing $19-$29 in value over this: http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/history.htm
Hunter
I downloaded it. I'm so-so about it. Of note, it lists some of synopses in the Compact Classics/Bathroom Books. Here is an oldschool worksheet for the Bathroom Books. http://www.homeschooloasis.com/book_synopsis.htm Kindle versions of the Great American Bathroom Books are $4.99 each. http://www.amazon.com/Great-American-Bathroom-Book-Volume-ebook/dp/B004SHNUPS/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1405268068&sr=1-1-catcorr
