nmoira
Clementine Cake I'm going to pick up some almonds tomorrow. :drool5: Note: variations on Nigella's recipe are many, but most comment (as here) that her baking time is too long. The general consensus is 30-35 minutes.

dbmamaz
a bunch of responses were lost - but mine was that i'd rather eat 4 clementines myself than make a cake lol. cake is more money, more calories, more work . . .
nmoira
And I had to order a springform pan. I've leant out my set and don't know where it is. Now I can't make this until Monday.

nmoira
Yum! And save the peels for this recipe... http://www.foodnetwo...cipe/index.html The cake uses peel and all. ETA: Not editing, because candied peels are always welcome in our house. :)
Alte Veste Academy
The cake uses peel and all. I saw that and edited. Bummer! But the cake does look delish!
nmoira
I saw that and edited. Bummer! But the cake does look delish! DD the Elder said it looks like molten lava, but I cautioned her that our lighting probably won't be as good. :)
nmoira
OK, the springform pan came today... and here it is (only slightly out of focus). This was 45 minutes in an 8" springform. Next time I'll cook an extra clementine or two, as one of them split during boiling. We're not glazing or cutting it until tomorrow. I'm excited, as we regularly have guests who are GF, including one tomorrow, and I'm not good with exotic flour mixtures. Matryoshka
I made this the other day for a get-together, and it came out really great! Moist and yummy. Mine did take a full hour to cook (8.5" springform, 375º), and on convect, even! I think it's because I was running late, so it decided to take longer. :glare: Making another one for a party tomorrow!! :D Thanks to OP for the great recipe!
