StaceyinLA
I want to buy this for my son-in-law for Christmas. It is the one Apple product I am not very familiar with (we didn't really know if we could use it here with our limited internet). What, exactly, can he do with it? OnTheBrink
He can stream Netflix and Hulu+, as well as YouTube, Vimeo, and a slew of other channels. If he has other Macs, he can stream whatever he has from iTunes, whether it's music or tv or movies. I'll often stream my iTunes playlists through my Apple TV when I'm house cleaning. Apple's link can tell you more: http://www.apple.com/appletv/ eta: One thing I really like about it is I can stream my You Tube account and dd can watch any videos I've assigned. She likes the Crash Course history lessons, and she can find whichever episode she needs on apple TV and watch it. Very cool.
zimom
He can stream videos from within his iTunes from a PC also. He does not have to have a Mac.
Spryte
If he has an iPhone he can stream videos from that, too. :)
Photo Ninja
I have a question. How does this affect the amount of internet you are able to use each month? Does streaming this way use a lot of internet?
CyndiLJ
You can also mirror an iPad and maybe an iPhone on it,using it to display what is on your iPad on the larger TV screen. Cindy
