Murphy101
We are going in a few weeks for a weekend. I'd like either zoo, but it's supposed to be over a 100'. Same goes for 6 flags. So something a family can enjoy without melting.:) We are thinking of the ripley's wax museum or the medieval feast restuarant. We only need 2 or 3 things because it's just a quick weekend excursion. Thanks.
gaillardia
I'm not too familiar with Dallas, but Ft. Worth has art museums, the Historic Stockyards (restaurants are right there), a science and history museum. I think Dallas has a good science museum too. We really enjoyed the art museums and the stockyards are fun at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the cowboys drive the Longhorns down the street.:tongue_smilie: 6flags has a water park too and there is a place NRH2O, a smaller water park you might enjoy, that's north of Ft. Worth.
desiraejb
There's also a Legoland, the aquarium, and the museum at Love Field. Our friends love Medieval Times, and said it has a new show now. And I think the Galleria mall has an ice skating rink, still. It did years ago.
The Girls' Mom
The Dallas aquarium isn't bad. Just be forewarned...it's more like an indoor zoo. I was surprised at how many animals vs. fish there were. Still a neat stop.
HollyDay
We enjoy the aquarium in Dallas:http://www.dwazoo.com/ Galleria Mall is a fun place and yes, they have ice skating. The rink is small though, so if you want a larger skating rink at a mall, try Stonebriar or Grapevine Mills Mall. Stonebriar has a bigger rink, Build-a-Bear, Lego, and Apple Computer (sort of covers everyone's tastes). Grapevine Mills Mall besides having an ice rink, also has LegoLand and an Aquarium. Ft. Worth has an awesome zoo. We enjoyed Dallas Zoo as well, but if I had to chose which to go back and visit, I'd chose Ft. Worth. If you like rock climbing, try Summit Climbing Gym: http://www.summitrockgym.com/ or this one: http://www.northtexasopc.com/ Both are indoors. You said you were going to Dallas in a few weeks, I really hope the 100s are gone by then. This coming week is supposed to be hot for sure. sweetbasil
Legoland Discovery Center & the American Girl Store come to mind. I would definitely hit the State Fair, even though it's outdoors!

AnnaM
The Dallas Zoo does have the little water area that the kids can cool down in. The Science Place is pretty neat, though I heard they were getting ready to move so be sure to check to be sure it is open before you go. The arboretum and the Heritage Museum are also good, though both outdoors. And of course we have the art museum.
Murphy101
So far we are thinking the Dallas aquarium, Ripley's, and the medieval faire sounds like a fun day. Thanks!
