HollyDay
I don't like Apologia Physical. Dd does not like BJU. What are my other options?
Mom22ns
We're doing PH Physical Science Concepts in Action. I have the DIVE dvd and I'm going to try to put it together, but last time I tried that, I dropped DIVE along the way.
PeterPan
We're gonna be hare-brained and do just the *labs* from the BJU PS (and PH CIA). I have all our stuff all planned out and am looking forward to it. I have the Hewitt/Suchowski Conceptual Physical Science text, so I figure if she needs some explanations we might use that. But really, in her case, I want to focus on the labs. Somebody linked recently to the Conceptual PS lab book where you could download it for free. Totally a different direction (not what we're doing), have you looked at the Derek Owens stuff? He has extensive samples online, so you can decide for yourself. And it's very affordable as courses go.
Sunshine State Sue
If you are willing to outsource, Derek Owens offers a physical science program. You may read my review of his physics program here. Edited August 16, 2012 by Sue in St Pete

Kareni
My daughter did Physical Science with her father using Paul Hewitt's Conceptual Physical Science. They used the second edition. Regards, Kareni
NineChoirs
We used Prentice Hall for Physical Science last year, using the syllabus from Kolbe. This is what I am using for my 9th and 8th graders this year. I have looked through it and really like the way it is presented and laid out.
