EmmaNadine
This guy is fantastic. He's a well known and awarded science writer who is basically teaching a college level intro to biology class for fun.

How fun! I've bookmarked it for biology when we get back to it.
JanetC
The youtube channel "bozemanbiology" is by a high school science teacher. He has other science besides bio, too.
JennW in SoCal
The PBS series Evolution is not only good, there are some nice activities on this companion web site. My ds watched all the Teaching Company lectures Biology: The Science of Life as part of his 10th grade biology course. Now, if you get into the whole biochemistry of DNA, well, there's lots of fun and silly stuff on YouTube. My personal favorite is this take off on the song YMCA Ohhhh and I just found another clever favorite you tube about DNA replication....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIZpb93NYlw Edited July 30, 2012 by JennW in SoCal

JennW in SoCal
The textbook we used was Campbell's Biology Concepts and Connections. Can't remember if that is Holt, or not. The video course is complete, though I had to adjust the reading to follow the sequence of the lectures. I don't have it anymore to check, but I believe the course suggests a text book. In any case you can use the TC course with any meaty biology text book.

BakersDozen
My dc really liked the Biology 101 videos. They aren't "deep" but the guy is funny as can be without being stupid and what he presents is fabulous. Very CC, if that is a factor. RhondaM.
Is this the TC course everyone mentions that can go along with the Holt text? Just wondering... I found these yesterday. They are arranged to go along with Holt Biology http://Www.squidoo.com/high-school-biology (biology labs, activities, videos and study guides) RhondaM.
