I'm thrilled to say my brush with near death from an exploded appendix (after which I stayed home three more days, then decided to clean the floor and take a shower before going in) resulted in the elimination of this problem. It grosses me out to think about it, but apparently, when they root around in your abdomen trying to clean up traces of an organ explosion, they take out your bladder and put it back where it was before 10 pound kids squashed it out of the way.
