Farrar
The children are seriously treating it like a Lego catalog or something. "Look, Farrar, did you know you can dissect a sheep brain?!?" Oh... goody.:tongue_smilie: So, as a side question to this hilarious development in our house, what are your favorite things for life science? Books, experiments, bits and pieces, things you grew or pressed or preserved, animal brains... Actually, I told him I thought we should wait on the sheep's brain, but I was thinking grasshopper maybe? Earthworm?
Mom2OandE
That's a really neat site. I could see how a catalog could be fun to look at. We are new to HS but I can tell already my kids get the most pleasure out of being hands on out in our community exploring the aquatic life and such. JudoMom
:lol::lol: My ds9 saw it in the mail pile and said "I love this magazine!" and took it. The next day I found his several hundred dollar wish list :001_huh:. (Sorry, no advice for life science...)

Farrar
Bacon, I don't need more stuff either... but I might for next year... just maybe... I already have an exciting microscope. Maybe I need more slides.
swellmomma
I used to order tons from them but then the Canadian gov't put restrictions on all the cool stuff, kind of sucks. I can order everything here but generally not all from 1 science store like that.
Spryte
They have a glass chemistry set that we have loved... "Real" test tubes, bunsen burner, etc. Great to use with other kits, or to do experiments from books, etc. And, well, just gobs of their stuff seems to clutter up our house. It's all great. My kiddo saw the catalog right before the holidays and called it his "Wish Book."
Parker Martin
My kids are too young to fully appreciate it, but I think I should hide that catalog from myself.
Ewe Mama
I hid our copy in a drawer as soon as it came in the house from the mailbox.

EmmaNadine
We should start a thread of our favorite homeschooling catalogs. I just got the school one from Dick Blick and may have to wipe drool off the pages.
