Osmosis Mom
Pure spam, but definitely also a teachable lesson for life. Please check out http://www.facebook.com/SyrianOrphans for how each of you can help make a huge difference in the life of one of the hundreds of new orphans in Syria. For less than $2 a day, they can bed fed well and ensured an education. FYI, then thee are only few orphanages in countries like Syria (even without the government killing its own citizens....). Orphans usually get placed with extended family or in some cases work as child labor as nannies and house keepers or at gas stations etc. Karam Foundation, which is a 501 ©3 organization based here in the US and with direct couriers into Syria, provides the stipend of $50 pr. orphan and ensure they are taken care of. There will be blog updates. What is special about an organization like Karam is that it is 100% volunteering work so there is no overhead. This means every cent goes where it is meant to go and not into anyone's pockets. Bottomline, please, find it in your heart and purse to sponsor a child or send a donation to people who are dying hourly for asking for freedom and refusing to live like caged animals. Teachin'Mine
It's incredibly sad what's been happening in Syria. All of them are in my prayers.
Osmosis Mom
It is horrific and tragic what is taking place, but also very empowering to people who have been suppressed for four decades. The focus right now is for us living abroad to provide some level of humanitarian help so kids can eat and get some safety.
Osmosis Mom
My gosh, I can't believe our well trained mothers are not even interested in such a current issue.

Osmosis Mom
Hahaa, you gals are probably right. I began using the term spam quite recently in response to its frequent use by my college daughter and her friends. They use the term as in unrequested information, not irrelevant or fraudulent information. Anyways.

Starr
Nadia you might want to repost without using spam. ;) I thought you were saying that agency wasn't real. Then I read through it and understood but others might not get all the way through it.
