edeemarie Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 My son is 8, so here are some of his favorites that may work: The Indian in the Cupboard series, Mr. Popper's Penguins, the Boxcar Children, Ginger Pye, Stuart Little, Charlotte's Web, the Incredible Journey. I read them also - you learn history & geography as well in this series (every book takes place in a different country). Plus it has a nifty on-line component - games cards and stuff...
