I could still send PMs to you, but you couldn't send them to me. (I would've thought it would show up in my inbox as an ignored message, but maybe that's the purpose of ignore: the person can't contact you privately.) I don't know if that meant the person did not accept PM's from anyone but those specifically designated as friends or whether I was on that person's ignore list. Someone who regularly rants or whines over certain types of issues might have a pleasant, sincere question about something in my sig, or a question about some curriculum I posted on last year. I can't think of ANYONE I wouldn't discuss such issues on, but there are some people who say the same thing over and over on certain topics, and it is just easier to skip them.
