4Kiddos
I am collecting ideas for next year in using FIAR with my oldest. Could you share your favorites with me? Thanks!
KristenR
I blogged about a few our FIAR experiences. Maybe they can help you out. I know there are tons of great ideas for suggestions and enhancements out there on the internet. I would just look up each book before we scheduled it and expand on some of the ideas. freeindeed
We used FIAR when my older kids were young, and I'll be using it again with my little one in a few years. We made some wonderful memories! We got lots of ideas from the ladies on the FIAR message boards and at this site: http://www.homeschoolshare.com/five_in_a_row_resources.php Sometimes I would google certain things we were studying or look at blogs of FIAR users. I also blogged our adventures, but you'd have to dig way, way back in my posts to find them. I do have some pics of what we did. You can find them here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1356800372913.49849.1618608004&type=3&l=5025309bb9 and here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1335490400177.47704.1618608004&type=3&l=efba7e0b9b and here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1327114790792.46836.1618608004&type=3&l=4bf4ef3f92 and also here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1183128071214.29799.1618608004&type=3&l=7301fe6b0d and, if you can stand one more album, here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1163104330633.26763.1618608004&type=3&l=93ad59f1fb :lol:Did I mention we made lots of wonderful memories? Thanks for taking me back in time today.:)
Stellalarella
I haven't done this with all our books, but occasionally I will make a "display" about the book that goes on the piano or on the boys' dresser. I set the book up and surround it with artifacts that represent the story. They LOVE this.
Mergath
I definitely recommend getting the FIAR cookbook, if you don't have it already. Making the meals that go with each story is a lot of fun.

teeniebeenie6
I find googling each book title helps. There are a ton of bloggers who post what they have done with their FIAR weeks. It is so inspiring to read!
FromA2Z
I'm planning on using FIAR w/ my boys in the fall also. I LOVE the blog Delightful Learning. She has a drop down list for all her "rows" with wonderful ideas from hands on projects to cooking and printables. She also includes links to other outside resources, and a schedule that she mapped out grouping books by season and region of the world. She is still currently "rowing" books so not every book has ideas, but she has about 15 done so far plus BFIAR books. HTH
kubiac
I second Delightful Learning, especially her post Fun Things to Do With Five in a Row, and would suggest searching Pinterest as well.
CandaceC
I've posted a lot of things we've done on my blog as well. Here is my FIAR category if you want to scroll through. :)
