Plucky
Are there any free online sites for teens to do their taxes? I want to help my kids do their own this year. Thanks!
Caitilin
H and R block has a free online option, and so do other similar ones, I believe. :001_smile:

Caitilin
Our income is low enough to qualify for the free version, that is why I know:blushing:
milovany
I believe TaxAct.com is free in certain situations too. I've used them (paid version) for years and years.

OLG
Will second TaxAct.com I have used them for years and have a teen use them too. Federal is free but state will cost. They send discounts to previous users. It only cost me $13.95 for fed and state this year.
black_midori
Best way to actually TEACH them to do their taxes is to print out the physical forms from the IRS website with the instructions & let them go line-by-line through the portions relevant to their positions. That's how they made us learn in college! :D
HiddenJewel
I use TaxAct and I love it.

twoxcell
Go to the IRS website and click on Free File they have a long list of sites offering free e-filing for anyone making under a certain income. We have used H&R Block and Turbo Tax free.
