MrsMe
My mom got a Kindle for Christmas. (not from me:001_huh:), but she's worried about the expense of buying books to download. She usually goes to the library. Now I know you all know those free book sites to download books. Could you send me a list so I can send it on to her? Check and see if her library system has a downloadable audio/e-book resource. Ours does, and it's wonderful. Not all the libraries in the system subscribe to it, but most do, and more and more libraries are getting on the bandwagon. One friend even told me that her library has a way for members to go into the library and download there. I love doing our via the website though :tongue_smilie:

DawnM
Amazon also has a book of the day for .99. It is only available for that price for that day, but once you buy it, it is yours to keep. Dawn

SailorMom
The Philadelphia Free Library has a very inexpensive membership fee... I think it is $15 a year. http://freelibrary.org/ Google Books has quite a few free books as well.
