Quiver0f10
I need a gift idea for Dd's BF ( they are courting but I don't know what other word to use to describe him). He is 18 and interested in the Army and will most likely be joining in the near future. I don't think he has any hobbies although he likes the typical teen things like computer games/Xbox, movies etc. He doesn't own a car but drives his parents. He lives about an hour from here so I was considereing a gas card as I am sure it's expensive to come visit her, but is a gas card tacky? What else besides a gas card? Thanks! Sasharowan
Maybe a small assortment of some favorite foods with a gas card?
Pippen
I think the gas card is a little tacky if it was the main gift, but would be fine as a side if you were doing something else. An amazon gift card might be good for a situation like this.
LibraryLover
GAs card sounds awesome to me. I would loooove a gas card, and around here, Dunkin Donuts GC are always welcomed. One year, someone gave a $5 GC in with a larger gift and i was wondering what the heck I would do with it, but then remembered Newman's Coffee.lol :) What about Axe hair putty? That seems to be quite popular even with guys w/ short hair.
Mrs Mungo
How about a gift bag full of car-related stuff? Target often has inexpensive car emergency kits this time of year. Something like that with a gas card?
Lara in Colo
Why don't you do two gifts, a practical and an impractical. Something more to do with his interests? Guitar picks, music, hiking gear, camara stuff, ---- he's bound to have other interests (other than your daughter;))
Quiver0f10
Leatherman Oh I like this! Thank you all for the ideas but I think this is what we will go with. I can picture him using one of these. Perfect and we will do the gas card too.
NanceXToo
Gas card sounds awesome. Why would it be "tacky?!"
