katilac
Salon. You can always tell an at-home box job. Hey! Some of us resemble that remark :tongue_smilie:
SweetMissMagnolia
I do both at home and at a salon but I usually do it at home more often --hopefully going in a few weeks to get something done...I need a change......

Truscifi
I don't trust myself to do it (again :glare:) so I get it done at a salon. Which is why it doesn't get done very often.
JVA
I sort of stradle the fence......I used to go to a salon and the price was inching up......I'd been her customer for a number of years and asked her if she'd like to come to my house. It would be cheaper for me and she'd get the entire amount. We've been doing this for about 7 years and it works out great. A cut and highlight here in northern VA is easily about $130-$140 at a salon. I pay her $60 to do it here at our house. We've become friends and I enjoy her visits every 6-8 weeks or so. freeindeed
I color mine at home. I use Clairol Nice & Easy, either the medium blonde or the medium reddish brown, depending on my mood at the time.;)
scrapbookbuzz
I have a friend who's a licensed cosmetologist and she works from home. I go to her because I cannot see the back of my head and she can, so no missed spots. Plus, while it's definitely more expensive than the box o' color it's MUCH LESS expensive than a salon. And I'm happy with the results!
Lisbeth
My stylist friend gives me professional chemicals, and I do it myself. It's $30 for 6 months worth, instead of $130 every 7 weeks.
