I was waiting to see if it would click without it because of the cost, time investment and the necessity of being able to follow the instructions. I wasn't sure ds COULD follow the instructions and it's such a huge investment. I think it was a matter of maturing enough to be able the follow the text since he had already mastered phonics using Rewards Intermediate.
