Prairie~Phlox
Promise Keepers. Dear xxxHigh School, Please excuse Txxx Gxxx from missing school on Friday, August 19, 2011. He was out of town with our pastor, Bill Sxxx and other men from Exxxx Christian Church at a Promise Keepers event in Akron, OH. Please call me at 555-117-1116 if you have any questions. (obviously the names are xxx and so is my number. I am the Financial Secretary and he asked me to write an excuse so the school would not get mad. Does it sound ok? Thanks! ThatCyndiGirl
I wonder why he wouldn't ask his PARENT to write it? I guess it depends on the school. I can't see it being an excused absence, but I havn't been to school in ages, so maybe that has changed? I had no idea that Promise Keepers were still around!
Prairie~Phlox
I think he just wanted something more "official" I don't know, I didn't ask. LibraryLover
Religious events are excused here, and a parent note is enough. It's fine, btw. Short and to the point is good. :)
QuirkyKapers
Sounds fine to me :)
twoforjoy
I'm not sure if it would be an excused absence, since it wasn't for a religious holiday. Schools seem really strict about what they'll accept as an excused absence. But the note sounds good. :)
annandatje
It would be an unexcused absence at our local public high school unless it was a school sponsored group outing, but I assume the student is aware of the rules of his school. The letter is adequate.
KidsHappen
The note sounds fine but it woud be an unexcused absense at our school as well.
