If it fits in your budget, Kindermusik for the Young Child is absolutely wonderful! When my kids were that age, there wasn't a Kindermusik teacher in our area that taught the Young Child curriculum. I wanted it so badly for my kids that I got my Kindermusik Educator License so that I could teach it to them. I taught a class in my home, to my two, and two other girls from our church.

Anyway, Young Child is designed for ages 4-7. It's different from the younger Kindermusik classes in that it is cumulative. There are four semesters, and they build on each other. They teach music concepts, music notation, and three instruments (glockenspiel, two-string dulcimer, and recorder). There is lots of movement used to really get the music "into" the child. The kids all went on into traditional instrument

It is a marvelous experience. If you have a class available, and it fits in your budget, I'd highly recommend it.
