Ipsey
I love our new house except for the basement. Ok, I love that too, but it's a little damp. It's quite cold, which is fine, but it smells just a little musty, even mildewy when I'm not diligent about bleaching the front-loading washer. Without spraying air freshener, what to do. There are only 2 small windows, and they're not escape windows. Thanks!
calandalsmom
Maybe get a dehumidifier?
Night Elf
Maybe get a dehumidifier? This worked for us in our last house. We kept it running all of the time. Emptying the water collection was just part of our regular routine of housecleaning. And our basement was a finished full daylight basement. LisainOhio
We run a dehumidifier in our basement too. We got pretty tired of having to empty it so often so the hubby connected a little hose and ran it to the drain near our washer and dryer. Jules
Yes, I agree also...you need to get a de-humidifier. We have a basement with two escape larger windows and one small one. We run the de-humidifier down there continuous in the summer months, especially. We get a full container in 24 hours, so you know that it is really needed. I bet if you invest in one, that will be your biggest help.

Pippen
We have a dehumidifier that we run from April through October. We also run the furnace fan continually and the circulation helps the air quality tremendously.
stripe
Do your pipes drip? I've got pipes that get condensation that drips in the summer. Bleh.
