Ottakee
Thought you guys would understand. Tonight we couldn't find 14dd. We called and called and called. Well, she was out in the woods, "running" away (she would NEVER do that as she does not do darkness) because 23ds (who has fetal alcohol and is mentally impaired) does not like her "friend" --a 14 year old boy with high functioning autism. Dd herself has some severe LDs, lower IQ and a host of medical issues. Try to explain the social stuff in a triangle of a moody special needs teen girl, a high functioning autistic boy, and a young man with fetal alcohol:tongue_smilie:
merry gardens
:grouphug: It sounds like it was a rough evening at your place. You must have been relieved when you found her.

Twinmom
Having one of those days myself here, but the triangle includes a neighbor who doesn't understand DD's special needs and so has labeled her the "bad kid." I might as well be explaining things to another FAS child...:glare: So sorry for your hard day and so glad you found DD.
PrincessAriel
:grouphug:So glad you found her! It can be so tough sometimes with our special children!
Ottakee
I think all is good now because the AS boy is now friends with my FAS son and dd is very happy. It is just hard dealing with all of the special needs with all of these social things.
