Night Elf
We just got back from visiting my DH's family in Wisconsin. When my MIL found out ds14 loved American History, she gave him the ration book from WWII that she used when she was 7 years old. He was ecstatic! She also gave him Military Currency, that is marked Fifty Sen. It was produced for allied troops in Hawaii, if we are understanding our research. They spent quite some time together talking about what WWII was like for her as a child. It was very cool. :)
thescrappyhomeschooler
I'm sure she was happy to pass that stuff on to someone who would appreciate its meaning. Very nice.

Jamee
Very exciting! My mom still has her ration book too. She was born in Scotland after the war and they were still rationing into the 50s. Treasure indeed!
