romeacademy
"Why are there only 3 meals a day?" (Uttered plaintively while staring at the refrigerator) He needs to be a Hobbit. Thank goodness for peanut butter.

happi duck
So true, so true! Peanut butter wasn't common in our house until recently, now it is a staple! It's just the easiest 'I'm starving' food to have in the pantry. Recently we got up earlier and had a big breakfast with dh before work. Later at our normal breakfast time ds declared 'second breakfast!' and was delighted. That boy is gonna be twenty feet tall.

missmoe
My dh and ds recently visited family in the PI, and there weren't only three meals a day much to my 13 yo's delight! He much appreciated the extra meal served him each day.
Luckymama
Ds eats 5 meals a day now. I think we'll save money when he's in college
NancyNellen
My 14 year old finished an In & Out 3x3 meal yesterday with a large root bear and then said very seriously, "Please tell me there's more." There are 1450 calories in that meal (not to mention 75 grams of fat). I can so relate!

Can't imagine my grocery bill in a couple years with two teenage boys in the house. We'll have to buy half a cow at a time! Or buy stock in Skippy.
Sugarfoot
I'm STILL waiting for this to kick in;) DS15 gets taller by the week. At this rate, he'll be the tallest one in the house by the end of the summer, but he still eats like a bird.:glare: He's a walking toothpick right now.:D At some point, his appetite has to kick in, right? Even then, I think he's just destined to be tall and super thin. Poor thing...:glare:
mcconnellboys
My 18 year old still indulges in fourth meal, and maintains that the Hobbit way is best, LOL!
