Mommyfaithe
it is very red...on his cheeks, leg and arms, but not so much on his body. He says it is not very itchy...and he is actually feeling better. Maybe part of this weird bug...or should I haul him in to the ped? abbeyej
I'd probably take him in. It doesn't sound like it's in the right *place* for scarlet fever, but I'd want that ruled out at least. It could be Fifth disease... Some viruses can just cause hives (and those usually go away as the virus resolves), but there are so many things it could be, I think I'd take him in... In The Great White North
I'd take him in. Strep can include puking and scarlet fever's not worth the risk.
LG Gone Wild
Take your baby in. There is an illness (or two) with flu-like symptoms and rash. I forgot which one but one of my kids had it and it is definitely a go-see-doc moment. Sorry. :grouphug:

Mrs Mungo
I'd take him in. Strep can include puking and scarlet fever's not worth the risk. :iagree: It could be a run of the mill virus (lots of them cause rashes), but I would take them in to be looked at. Rosie_0801
If he's on the tail end of it, it could just be a post-viral rash. My dd gets them. Rosie
