Peela
We're not really down under, y'know. Thats just the Euro_American centric way of looking at us :) Australia in its rightful place :) flourish.org/upsidedownmap/
Ibbygirl
flourish.org/upsidedownmap/ That's a cool map. I'd never seen that before. It does make you think, doesn't it. :) Like how the Americas were "discovered" by Columbus. :tongue_smilie:

Amber in AUS
Are your maps made' date=' I'm assuming with Australia in the center, with the north up or the south up?[/quote'] You can get maps with Australia in the middle or to the side. So far i have only ever seen maps for sale with the Arctic at the top and the Antarctic at the bottom :001_smile:
Kebo
Well, Happy Day to you! Maybe the kids and I will make some ANZAC cookies to celebrate with you (I think I've still got Lyle's golden syrup around here somewhere......)

Peela
Anzac biscuits, they are called :tongue_smilie: Rosie Yes, we don't do cookies here :) Only biscuits :) But yes, Anzac biscuits are pretty good. My mum bought an "upside down map" when I was a teenager, so thats why I am familiar with it. Mostly we just have similar ones to the rest of the world. Rosie_0801
If I can remember to say "thrift store" instead of "op shop" and "the dump" instead of "the tip," you can polish up your Aussie dialect skills and say Anzac bikkies! :tongue_smilie: Rosie
Kebo
Anzac bikkies! Anzac bikkies! Anzac bikkies! Where's a saluting smilie when you need one? This one's not right, but it will have to do. :patriot:
