Jumping In Puddles
to :ack2: vomit? Do you really feel better faster or is it only temporary? I wouldn't know. I don't throw up. But if it will make me feel that much better, that much faster then maybe I can do it (but I doubt it). :crying:
kwickimom
I dont throw up either. I had terrible pains and nausea for 7 days. My kids and DH and sisters/cousins only had it for about 2 days and they all puked. I feel it lasts longer on me because it is just sitting in my stomach, but refuse to puke anyways :)
Joker
I think for some it doesn't matter. My older dd will be sick for a min. of 7 days when she gets a stomach bug and that's with vomitting. It's horrible to watch. Dh and younger dd rarely throw up but their bugs only last about a day or two.
Hockey Mom
IDK either, but whatever it is that's going around, I hope it stays far away from my house. My DS always ends up in the hospital whenever the stomach flu rolls around. :( We almost lost him the last time. It's the most scared I've ever been in my life. I am starting to feel a little better. :ack2: I didn't throw up... my dh thinks I'm nuts and suffering senselessly.
Peela
I hate puking. I would rather wait and have it come out the other end.
momofkhm
I don't make myself puke nor do I hold it in. Whatever happens happens. If I were you, I'd follow my body. If you are holding it in, then don't. But if your body just doesn't puke, then don't make yourself.
Mejane
With most viruses, relief is temporary. You'll probably just vomit again a half-hour later, then a half-hour later... sorry! ugh - I'd rather do anything than that. Gimme pain, gimme a rash... just don't make me puke. :tongue_smilie:
kewb
I don't know if it shortens the duration. As someone who has spent her life catching any stomach bug that comes within 50 miles of her I will tell you that I will take the temporary relief given by throwing up over that nauseated feeling. ChristusG
How do you make yourself NOT vomit? I can do it for a while....but if it's going to happen, then I usually cannot stop it. I despise throwing up though. I'll lie there and do everything that I can in order to stop it. My dad is always like "why don't you just go in there and stick your finger down your throat?" Ewww....I just cannot do that. Just. can't. do. it.
