Mama Geek
Before long we are going to be subjected to that year round. Christmas will always be joyful and important, but I get tired of the commercialism of it.
OnTheBrink
The local radio station here doesn't start Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, thankfully.

We have started christmas shopping and I don't really mind the music it;s just that I get really tired of it by Christmas......... I right there with you! I don't play it often, but hearing it occasionally in November really helps me get in the mood for Christmas. It's SO cold and yuck here in November. Christmas music lifts my spirits!! patchfire
I was just thinking that oh, one of the local channels would start Christmas music soon, so I'd have to stop listening to it until around Thanksgiving... ... when from upstairs (the playroom), I hear my children listening to Yule Be Wiggling. :svengo:

ChristusG
Nooooooooooooo! I can't do Christmas the day after Halloween!
cathmom
What really annoys me is that they stop playing Christmas music at 12:01 AM December 26! That's when I would really like to hear it. I'll never understand this modern idea that the holiday is over the second the official day is done.
Sputterduck
I wish they would play Christmas music all year.

TN Mama
I wish they would play Christmas music all year. I do. :) I love my Christmas cds and have been known to start listening to them the first week of November. No, I don't skip over Thanksgiving, but I like Christmas music and all it reminds me of! FaithManor
My big problem is that the local station which is on in EVERY store in the area during the season is OBSESSED with two songs..."Feliz Navidad" and "Simply, Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" and play them at least two times each per hour. I am not exaggerating because I am not the only person who has noticed and many have complained. It doesn't seem to change the programming. I mean no disrespect to those who like these particular tunes. But please understand that if you are inclined to turn on the radio during the Christmas season and listen for very long, then YOU ARE SERIOUSLY OVEREXPOSED TO THESE NOT VERY HARMONICALLY INTERESTING SONGS! My friends and I have equated this to Chinese water torture and bamboo sticks shoved under fingernails. It does not enhance the Christmas spirit.
