(But then I wondered if they would have charged me with kidnapping even if I did it only to keep the baby safe until I could get a hold of authorities. I tend to spin all these scenarios out. . . ) I'm feeling pretty cynical though and find myself wondering how long before a judge gives the child back to the parents. . .
