springmama
Toy Story 3 is in theaters today and I am thinking of taking the kids. Do I want to take them to the 3D version? Will the 3D aspect just annoy me or is it worth it?
JFSinIL
From the review I read, the 3-D in TS3 would not be missed if you saved money and saw the film in 2D. We plan to 2D it...and most every other films that comes out in 3D.

springmama
Thanks! I think we'll skip the 3D movie and opt for the 2D. My two year old will be on my lap and I read that if he takes his glasses off, it will be blurry and hard for him to see anyway.
Hannah C.
3D has come a LONG way from the time of SpyKids. It's no longer colored glasses, but polarized ones. Dh and I saw Toy Story 2 in 3D when it was rereleased, and it was amazing. It looks very, very real. UP was also very good in 3D as well. That being said, if you have money issues, or younger children, there's no reason to see it in 3D. It just looks cooler. :)
shannatheshedevil
3D gives me headaches and my son takes great pleasure in pulling the glasses on and off repeatedly, so we opt for 2D.
BridgeTea
We just got in from seeing TS3, in 2D only. It was absolutely great, and I don't feel we missed out on a thing!
angela in ohio
We just got in from seeing TS3, in 2D only. It was absolutely great, and I don't feel we missed out on a thing! Wasn't it great? I love that they keep going for the story and meaning and not the quick laugh potty/sexual humour of so many other movies. And the short before it was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. FriedClams
My kids.and I don't like 3d. We don't watch much tv so 3d is just assaulting. I actually want to see Toy Story and I am thrilled our podunk theatre has it in 2d.
ChristusG
We're going tomorrow and we will be seeing 2D, as we did with Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs as well. My 3 year old won't want to wear the glasses so she'd be watching a blurry movie. Plus, I wear glasses and it is really annoying to wear 3D glasses over regular glasses. mom31257
We saw it today in 3D. I wished we had saved the money and saw it in 2D. I wasn't that impressed with Up's 3D, so I don't know why we didn't remember that. I think the 3D stuff is just another way to get more money from us. rwjx2khsmj
I love the new 3D movies. They've come so far from the blue and red 3D that use to be. We saw TS3 today in 3D and I thought it was incredible. Yeah, I'm sure the story was the same in 2D and either way it is worth seeing. Enjoy!
