Are their any programs that teach art on DVD? Not just the lecture part of it but exactly how to do it?

I've looked at Artistic Pursuits and actually bought some of the Draw, Write, Now books because my little guy will love them but I'd really like to be able to learn too without getting stressed out haveing to teach the lesson.

Any help please????

Can anyone explain the differences between Atelier & Meet the Masters?

Also, can anyone recommend a really good DVD or online art program that just teaches drawing.

TIA,

Jackie

Love Atelier here too!

Barry Stebbing has several programs with DVD & workbook and focuses more on drawing. We have Feed My Sheep and about 150 lessons are on drawing. There are also lessons on painting and art appreciation. The DVD lessons last about 5-7 minutes each, so I've been having my DD complete two in a sitting. I specifically wanted drawing instruction and this program provides an excellent foundation.

The prices are a little better on CBD, especially if you can wait for a free shipping coupon.

Does Atelier have any video samples on their website? I couldn't find any...maybe I missed them?

I emailed them and asked for a sample. It took them a few days to get back with me, but they did email me a sample lesson. Looks GREAT!

Hi,

We use, "How Great Thou Art" (I can do all things): http://www.howgreatthouart.com/

I've also seen the Thomas Kincade dvd's at cbd.com, but I've never used them. http://www.christianbook.com/drawing-basics-with-thomas-kinkade-curriculum/9780740307072/pd/30707X?item_code=WW&netp_id=316849&event=ESRCN&view=details

Lastly, I've looked at this as well: http://thegluckmethod.com/howtodraw/courses/kidsartcourses.html
