Tarheel Heather
We have been here two weeks. Yesterday my dh calls to tell me he saw a mom with older children and asked if they homeschooled. It's spring break here so the answer was no. Anyway, he said he was on a quest to find me "homeschool mommy friends" on his lunch hour. I thought that was sweet. JennifersLost
That is sooooooo sweet. Maybe if I had some homeschool mommy friends I wouldn't be chatting online so much. I probably need an attitude adjustment. About a month ago I just gave up and decided there are no women in this town remotely like me at all and I'm just going to stop looking. They'll probably start coming out of the woodwork, now, eh? Actually, dh invited our neighbors (a very fun, nice couple) out to eat with us on Friday night, so I guess he's doing his share. MichelleWI
I think that's sweet of him! My husband, on the other hand, is always advocating homeschooling and then giving strangers my phone number and email address so they can ask their homeschooling questions. I don't mind, but it does disturb me a bit when the occasional person actually does follow through and contact me. Of course, I'm thrilled to help, but ... I don't handle strangers very well. :001_huh:
