Sasharowan
She has been hospitalized for Gillian-Barre syndrome. She has a dd15 and a ds11 at home. This is the 2nd time she has had this. The first time was when her ds was an infant. She has other health problems to complicate it now. Please pray for her. Thanks

Jean too
Praying for her. I've never heard of anyone having it twice. Did she recently have a flu shot?
kalanamak
Praying for her. I've never heard of anyone having it twice. Actually, common. I think a 10th of the people who have it once, get it again. If you can, get a "normal" picture of her for her room to remind staff, all and sundry, how "normal" she was. Helps staff in their less admirable moments.

Sasharowan
It is triggered by a virus and then the body's immune system starts attacking the myelin (sp?) sheathing on the nerves.

Sasharowan
Thanks all. She is the same as yesterday, but the good news is she's not worsening either.

Sasharowan
She has been hospitalized for Gillian-Barre syndrome. She has a dd15 and a ds11 at home. This is the 2nd time she has had this. The first time was when her ds was an infant. She has other health problems to complicate it now. Please pray for her. Thanks UPDATE: They stopped the spread before she had to go on the ventilator and she is now in rehab learning to use her muscles again. It is a long and hard journey, but the danger is now past. Thanks for the prayers.
