LUV2EDU
Besides Christianbooks.com, what other bookstores provide homeschool curriculum and good customer service?:lurk5:
mamato4girls
Amazon is awesome, and that is about all I can think of for "new" stuff, curious to see what others say.
LUV2EDU
Thanks Mamato4girls! I found Rainbow Resource Center online. Has anyone ordered from them? Are they reliable? http://rainbowresource.com/index.php?sid=1249855155-144766
Loupelou
Amazon is awesome, and that is about all I can think of for "new" stuff, curious to see what others say. :iagree: I have always had good experiences with Amazon. I haven't ordered from RR before but am planning to this year, I couldn't believe how huge their catalog was! I've heard good things though. dee67p
Hey, I went to ICHE in June and spied out all the stuff I couldn't buy online, but then went home and bought over 300$ worth of materials from Rainbow Resources. Shipping is free when it's an order over 150$ I think, so it was just taxes which I would have paid at the conference anyway. Pleased as punch I've got to say. rdwelch
I've ordered mostly from: 1. Home Science Tools - excellent customer service 2. http://www.lovetolearn.net - excellent customer service, good prices 2. http://www.sonlight.com 3. Amazon - one of my first places to look for anything I buy 4. abebooks.com - it's like an amazon market for used textbooks. Got GREAT deals on some of the high school level, expensive, texts
amtmcm
Here are two lesser known stores. I have ordered from the first one and shipping was very fast. http://www.homeschooldiscountproducts.com/servlet/StoreFront http://www.homeschoolfcgs.com/shopping_cart.php The Book Cover has an excellent selection of used curriculum. I've ordered from them several times and they are very reliable with excellent customer service: http://www.the-book-cover.com/

gingersmom
The majority of my books come from Rainbow Resource and Amazon.com.
LAmom
Not 100% sure what you are looking for...but I had asked on this forum not too long ago for a website that I could buy lots of books new and/or used and pay one shipping price (versus 3.99 shipping for each book on amazon). Someone recommended betterworldbooks. FREE shipping! Woohoo. I just ordered about 15 books from them. They had every book I typed in, some new, some used, some in the bargain bin. My new favorite! I do like Rainbow Resource, too. :001_smile:
LUV2EDU
Thanks! Everyone has been a big help to me.:001_smile:
Brenda in FL
Don't forget to check out overstock.com. Their prices are usually less than amazon and if you buy more than one book the $2.95 shipping evens out with the free amazon shipping. Most of FLL and WWE are available on overstock.com. jjcmehl
We like our regional homeschool store, run by two homeschooling families Heppner Legacy Homeschool. Sometimes they have great deals, but I just prefer to support local, as much as possible! http://www.legacyhomeschool.com/ One of the families was on Discovery Health when they were running a series called Families by the Dozen. The Heppner family now has 18!
Emily in IL
Rainbow Resource, Amazon, Sonlight, Timberdoodle have all been easy to work with, quick on replies and shipping. Also the used boards here I've never had any trouble with when purchasing from families on the wtm boards. Emily
woolybear
I haven't ordered from Amazon for school stuff before. I plan to this year and in addition to the free shipping, many of the books I want are eligible for the 4 for 3 deal. Woolybear
TXMary2
I'll second Amazon and RR, but I also like Ebay for new and used. There are two that I particularly like. Oh, and I also love www.homeschoolclassifieds.com for great deals on used items. www.stores.ebay.com/The-Homeschoolers-Hangout www.stores.ebay.com/Your-Teacher-Resource-Source

Aletheia Academy
I purchase almost everything from Amazon and Rainbow Resource. Exceptions would include MUS and Rod and Staff materials.
Cranberry
Adoremus Books is great...very amazon like in their free shipping policy. Many many Catholic books, but a lot of general stuff and supplies as well. http://www.adoremusbooks.com
scrapbabe
http://www.exodusbooks.com/ make sure you use .com - just typing in exodus books sometimes takes you to .org - not the same place. Smiles, Shalynn
