Meredith
Hi all - I bought Mind Benders from Critical Thinking Co. last year and for $10 and I got several grid logic puzzles that were great, but finished lickety split! Is there a big book of logic puzzles out there that I could get for dd, almost 10? I am looking for something similar to Mind Benders, just MORE! TIA! Jen500
I used to enjoy logic problem magazines like these- http://www.pennydellpuzzles.com/product.aspx?c=ValuePacks-MathLogic&p=LPVP07

HSDCY
Have you seen Perplexors or Grid Perplexors? You can find them at mindwareonline.com. Each book costs $12.95 at their website ($10.25 at Rainbow Resources) and has 48-50 puzzles instead of 14. They are very similar to Mind Benders. Stacia
The Connections & Logic Safari series from Prufrock Press are grid-style puzzles. We have enjoyed many of their books.

katilac
Check the Dollar Tree. Ours currently has some pretty nice Soduku and KenKen puzzle books (spiral bound, which I love). They also have four collections of The Best of Games Magazine, a great mix of logic puzzles, word puzzles, etc etc. It's hard to beat $1 per book! Crafty Mathy Mom
http://www.puzzlersparadise.com/ has free logic puzzles, but they may be too difficult for a 10 year old.

And don't forget Venn Perplexors. :) We have a shelf for at-will puzzle books, but the Perplexors and a few other books are off limits. We have two or three logic/puzzle books going at a time, and I give one page from each as a daily warm-up along with a math based word problem and some math fact exercise (squares, primes, etc.... which reminds me, I want to start a separate thread for more ideas). For older kids, check out Martin Gardner's books as well.
Meredith
AWESOME! Glad I wasn't the only one disappointed by the fleeting nature of Mind Benders. Here and done! A little skimpy on puzzles in my opinion.
chanda7
I've been printing out daily puzzles from http://www.printable-puzzles.com/printable-logic-puzzles.php. They have easy and hard ones.
Suzannah
I have to say, we zipped through the A-level Mindbenders like everyone else. But it's much slower going in level B.

irizarry4
I've been printing out daily puzzles from http://www.printable-puzzles.com/printable-logic-puzzles.php. They have easy and hard ones. :iagree: I downloaded one of the logic puzzles from this website today, and my dc 7 and 9 were able to do the puzzle together. Dd 7 did just as well as ds 9. These are a lot of fun. I picked one from the "easy to medium" side.
irizarry4
:lurk5: Bill, did someone mess up your Cuisenaire rods? What's up with your signature this week? :D
HSDCY
Are there still only 15 puzzles or so? B1 has only 14, the book was done in 2 weeks.
