  1. I understand your concern. I would suggest that he get an iron clad prenuptial agreement. In the two cases where my grandparents remarried it was disastrous. My grandmother remarried after my grandfather had been dead for 5 years. She was married for 7 years and her dementia got to a point where she didn't even know who she was. Her husband liquidated three homes and three apartments they were rental properties. He gave $90,000 in less than 6 months to his children. He went through even more. He said he sold some of the rental homes for cash for $1000 they had more than that coming in with rent in a 2 month period ( we knew it didn't make sense). We went to court because he left her with less than 20,000 in the bank. She didn't even have money to properly care for herself. I became her guardian it was a nightmare. . The state of NC did nothing. They wouldn't file charges because they were married and it was joint property. He even got the oil out of the tank and they sent the check to them this was in the fall right before it was getting cold. He should protect himself and his assets he could very well need expensive care in the future.
  2. Lynne, I am praying for you!!!! I am glad you have such a supportive family unit! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

  4. One of my friends got a bunch of pink and blue balloons and wrapped them in a box with a note. When the dad opened the box and read the note he figured it out!
  5. I need a promo code if anyone has one that are not going to use for free shipping. I want to order my daughter a doll for her birthday.
  6. Please give me some ideas of places that are clean, safe, and affordable. We mainly want to visit the museums. Thanks
  7. My daughter has discovered a love for writing stories. She love reading and now she is writing her own "books" or stories.
  8. Thank you all of your input, wisdom, and advice. I read all of the posts. We are prayerfully considering having another baby and leaning more towards yes lets have another one more than no. You all have given me something to think about. I will keep you update on what we decide it will possibly be next year. We are also considering adoption. I would appreciate your prayers if you pray for my family. Thanks
  9. I was talking to her and told her we were going to try to have another baby sometime early next year or late this fall. I think part of the reason for her comment is that my husband works alot (computer programmer). He has been with his company twenty years and he is always the one they call for help. I am 30 years old and my husband is ten years older than me. It might be his age. I just wanted someone to be happy for me and I called to talk to her. I was expecting her to be excited!
  10. I am sure you are doing great! It must be one of those days!!! :grouphug::grouphug:
  11. It amazes me how some people can be so rude. I had a man ask me the other day, how many of "them" do you have. His wife apologized and told me we have a beautiful family.
  12. Thank you all for your responses. You have affirmed my decision to have another baby. I believe having another baby is not selfish but a gift to my family and my children like many have said. I just need the opinion of a neutral group of people to tell me what they thought. Thank you all for taking the time to answer! I really do appreciate it.
  13. I have been talking to several friends about my desire to have more children. I would like at least one or two more. We have four children they are 9, 7, 5, and 1. I love homeschooling but there are some days I want to pull my hair out. The majority of the days are great. I have given up my income to homeschool. Some of my friends think that is selfish but that is another story. I have had several people tell me that I need to think about cars, college, and many more cost. We are middle class mid 50's income wise. Our house will be paid off in 13 years if we keep the same automatic draft coming out every two weeks. My children have activities Awana, dance, soccer, Tae Kwon do. Is it selfish to have more children and expect they will have to contribute some money to their education. I recieved Academic achievement scholarship and I paid my own expenses. We will help but we can't foot the entire bill. FWIW I love my children and they idea of a large family.I dream of Christmas 20+ years from now with children and grandchildren I love the memories we make and the things we do together. I told my friend last night I will regret not having another when I wanted one but I will never regret having another child. Our children having been such a blessing to our family. I really get tired of societies view of children as a burden physically and financially. I guess that is how some people see them. I see them as a gift from God. I also see that God has a purpose for everyone and everything. Give me your honest opinion?

  20. My cousin is having her 2nd baby a little girl this fall. The only local hospital doesn't permit VBACs so she has to have another c-section this fall. I have had three hospital births every time I was given pitocin and had interventions pushed at me. My fourth child was born at a free standing birth center the midwives have privileges at a major university hospital. The birth center was the most peaceful experience. If God bless us with another baby I will go back to the birth center
