  1. I have nothing to add to the discussion, but I just wanted to welcome you to the boards and to the homeschooling journey. It's an amazing ride. :) If your wife isn't yet a member here I'd encourage her to become one. These boards function as a support group as well as being an invaluable resource for information. :)
  2. so sad! :( What a tragedy. May he rest in peace. :(
  3. They do rock, but she doesn't want Sci-fi. I'll come over and watch them with you though. :D I'll bring Invasion of the Body Snatchers with me too if you want. :p hehe
  4. That one is so funny! hehe Never been kissed Ever After if you like a Cinderella story. :)
  5. The Notebook with Ryan Gosling When Harry Met Sally Sleepless in Seattle Those are the first three that came to my mind right away. :)
  6.:lol::lol::lol: That must have been so weird for you in light of your son's name! :p I once had a voicemail from a wrong number telling a guy that he had got a job and that he was to report on Monday at such and such time. Well, I called the guy back and let him know he dialed the wrong number and that I didn't want the guy he intended to call to miss his job opportunity. The guy on the phone laughed and said, "I guess I should look the number up before I dial huh?" and then he asked me if I was a lawyer and if I wanted a job.:001_huh: I told him I was a stay at home mom and I had all the work I needed already. :p hehe
  7. LOL Ooops! hehe I've never gotten a wrong text, but then again, I'm new to texting. hehe I've gotten voicemails though from wrong numbers. I've called them back many times to let them know in case it's important. :p
  8. For eye makeup I do. I use this stuff or some Mary Kay remover that I have also. Lancome's remover is supposed to be really good, but I've never gotten around to buying it yet. For the face, I usually wipe my makeup off with a neutrogena makeup remover wipe and then wash my face with whatever cleanser I'm using at the time. Olay's Professional cleansing tool is actually really good. I have a Clarisonic, but find I can't use it every single day so I got that Olay one and use it when I'm not using my Clarisonic and it does a really good job and is gentle. :)
  9. Wow! That's dedication! :) Yeah, if you can go to a MAC counter while you're here it will help you tremendously with any future online purchase with another brand. MAC's foundation is kind of the standard that everyone compares everything else too so if you know your shade in MAC you can find it much easier in another brand. :) Macys, Nordstrom, Dillards all have MAC counters in them so any mall you go to you should be able to find a counter. :) You're very welcome honey. :) I'm happy to be of any help. :)
  10. DD is loving the responses she's getting to this thread. :) I'm glad to learn that there is one kinda as well. :) At least in the future I'll know I can turn stuff in there if I find something in a park. :p
  11. That's awesome! :) There are good honest people even in a big city. :)
  12. How fun!!!! Sounds like you had a wonderful day! I agree with you too. Jean is a total sweetheart. :)
  13. Yay! :hurray: I love happy endings! :) LOL That's awesome! :)
  14. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Oh yes. My dd lost a Bible in church that she had worked so hard for. It was a church we were visiting and didn't regularly attend. I drove her back every single week to check if they had found her Bible at the lost and found. We did this for 2 months! It was never turned in. She was crushed. :( I've lost things too and haunted lost and founds hoping they would turn up and they never did, so I always try to reunite things with their owners when I find them as much as is humanly possible. It stinks to lose something that is irreplaceable. :(
  15. Oh, it wasn't that kind of a ring. Just a cheap costumey type ring that the girl character finds in the grass. I'm sorry about your purse. That stinks. I've found purses before and always turned them in exactly as I find them. If there is nobody to turn them into, I would mail it to the person's address on the driver's license. My dd would do the same. She's been with me in those situations and has seen how to handle them. :)
  16. I'm trying to help my dd do research for a book she's writing. She wrote about her character turning in a lost ring to a lost and found in a park. I told her that parks don't have lost and founds and if you find something and nobody is there to ask if they dropped it, it's yours. She swears that some parks have lost and founds so I'm putting it to The Hive. I've never seen a park with a lost and found in South Florida. Does your park have an lost and found area?? Thanks to all who reply. :)
