  1. I don't feel like I ate enough today, but not really hungry. Breakfast: eggs & a couple of sausage links Lunch: Italian chicken (no cheese, just breaded with almond flour & Italian seasonings), leftover potatoes, sugar snap peas, carrot sticks & grapes Dinner: 2 small pieces cauliflower crust pizza (1 with pepperoni, 1 with sausage). This was our dairy trial item today.
  2. Ugh, I am not a fan of the one letter differences... Wordle 317 4/6 🟩🟩⬜🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. Well, April went well. DD's stomach pain is not completely resolved, but only 2x did it bring her to tears last month. We're trying some dairy this week to see if that is a culprit. Apparently, it makes my nose run - I've had to blow my nose after every meal today. Huh. Breakfast: eggs with a splash of milk Lunch: hamburger (with cheese, garlic aioli, and ketchup), air fryer potatoes, sugar snap peas Dinner: gluten free mac and cheese, a paleo chicken finger, celery sticks, and a salad with a new no-sugar dressing (not the best, but better than the other 2 I've tried).
  4. I got it, but DD had to help me, so not sure it's a win... Wordle 316 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  5. I used a vintage ring from my great-grandmother for my wedding ring, so I didn't want to resize it in case something would go wrong with it. When I had the clasps tightened and it cleaned for the wedding, the jeweler broke the "stone" and we found out it wasn't a ruby, it was glass. Apparently, my great-grandfather was frugal. I bought a labmade diamond for a new wedding ring (which is currently a little tight as well). I've grown a lot since my wedding day.
  6. I wrote a whiny post and then it got eaten. To make a long story short, budget was completely busted last month. Groceries double normal - Whole30 and covering my brother's groceries as well. Gas up (and we just added another driver who needs 50 hours of practice). Rent 10+% increase. Com Ed (our electricity provider) just put in for an increase in price as well. On the good news, Whole30 caused me to lose a huge amount of weight which was needed. I have never lost weight like this before. So I'm ecstatic about that.
  7. Breakfast: Hashbrowns with spinach and green onions Lunch: last of the leftover pork and smashed potatoes dinner (just me & one child, and she wanted hot dogs): hot dog, coconut yogurt and grapes Snack: cashews We made it through a Whole30. Youngest wants to try some dairy tomorrow.
  8. I did not think I was going to pull this one out. Wordle 315 6/6 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  9. I should've gotten evaluations for learning disabilities a lot sooner than I did - I knew there was a problem, but I had no idea how to go about it. I do comfort myself in that she would've been missed in school too probably. We continued to muddle through, but she wasn't able to work to her ability. One thing that totally confused my children (2 out of 3 used it) was HWT. 2 lines on the paper does not translate to any other worksheet paper (given at co-op or library or a freebie I would print), and my children were totally confused on how to write on the 3 line Kindergarten paper or notebook paper for a while.
  10. Not my best day. Wordle 314 4/6 🟨🟨🟩🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  11. Friday: Breakfast: eggs Lunch: (in the car between jobs): sugar snap peas, hardboiled egg, last of the deli meat, carrot sticks, celery sticks Dinner (not much until grocery pickup tomorrow) - ended up with eggs and a sausage
  12. Thursday: Breakfast: eggs & sausage Lunch: (in the car typical lunch - I'll have the same tomorrow) - hard boiled egg, a couple of pieces of deli meat, sugar snap peas, celery sticks, carrot sticks Dinner: leftover pork chops and smashed potatoes

  14. Wednesday: Breakfast: eggs & sausage Lunch: leftover smashed potatoes and pork chop & carrots Dinner: air fried chicken, sugar snap peas, and strawberries Snack: handful of pecans
  15. Another 3 - super close 2nd guess. Wordle 312 3/6 🟩⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟨🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. Tuesday: Breakfast - 2 eggs & some sausage Lunch - a Whole30 compliant hot dog (I have them for the kids' lunches, but I decided to try one. I really like this type better than Oscar Meyer - if I can swing it price wise, I may only buy these in the future), sugar snap peas, and a couple more ginormous strawberries. I finished it off with about 6 pistachios. Dinner - I went all out and cooked for an hour, which is like a marathon for me! Lemon garlic pork chops, Everything but the bagel seasoned smashed potatoes, and sesame green beans. Everything was really good.

  18. Monday: Breakfast: 2 eggs with some sad looking spinach (thanks to our not great Walmart shopper this week) and some roasted sweet potato Lunch (on the road between jobs): hardboiled egg, some deli turkey, sugar snap peas, carrot sticks, and grapes Snack: part of a Larabar (didn't like, so didn't finish) Dinner: Italian chicken with marinara sauce, salad, and 2 of the ginormousest strawberries I've ever seen (Walmart shopper strikes again) Not really very hungry today.

  22. Saturday: Breakfast: Waffle iron hashbrown Lunch: chicken & a coconut yogurt Dinner: ham and sugar snap peas and grapes It was kind of a "fend for yourself" food day. First beautiful spring day, so we all worked outside and came and went around the neighborhood.
  23. I am so sorry. You all are in my thoughts.
  24. My eye keeps watering and hurts like the dickens, so I switched to getting the teens in for their covid booster shot. We've not been able to the last couple of weeks at the health department. Was able to get them in later today at Walgreens.
  25. I don't have a long list, but the items may take a long time. Today, I am working on opening up the flower beds from their winter slumber. I am also up for doing a ton of laundry - it's been piling up. Need to focus on the meal plan and prep anything ahead that I can as I am working every morning and 3 afternoons this coming week. I'd like to do some garden planning, but I don't know if we'll get there today. We're talking about getting the house show-ready over the next year for a possible move since our lot rent is going to go through the roof, but we've said that before. We shall see. I have started on the garden this morning (except now my eye hurts since one of the sticks on the sedum left over from last year stabbed my eyeball - ouch). Laundry is going, but not done yet.
