Sigh ... yes. I have been nurturing my Homeschool Fantasy for years now, but I have to work. And my DS has to go to before- and after-school care, so we don't even get the hours between school and dinner to afterschool. Right now we get 15-20 minutes two mornings a week. :crying: All I can do is tell myself it's better than nothing. Sniffle.

Upon discovering that DS11 (in PS) did not bring home the research he needed for the project that's due tomorrow, I shrugged and said, "I guess you'll have to take a zero." Unfortunately, his teacher will probably let him turn it in late, maybe deducting only a few points for that. I don't think a consequence that light will help the boy remember in the future.

You can never have too much pizza. Really. It's a law of nature.

This is what jumped out at me, too, in that "didn't I read somewhere" way. Do you have any research (the shorter the better) to pass along to the teacher about the connection between adoption and certain maladaptive behaviors? If the teacher can understand the circumstance, maybe you and she can brainstorm ways to address it with your daughter. And, barring that, tell the teacher to ditch the candy, for Pete's sake! Candy is not a required resource! :cursing:

Believe it or not, a small piece of duct tape did the trick for DS. I can't remember how long we left it on (or how many times we changed it), but it seems like it only took a few days, maybe a week. My first search hit: http://www.warts.org...rt-removal.html We used the tape only, and there's no way it took 2 months. HTH.
