  1. Thanks! She's had smallish tumors for quite a while, but this bigger one kind of just popped up rather quickly!
  2. So, Critter, I may have asked you this before, but my elderly (16 years old)outdoor kitty has some sizable tumors near her back-end. Seems to be right above her joint. The one is getting quite large, maybe an inch in diameter. I haven't looked too closely, but the fur is all off it. She doesn't seem to be in pain. She can walk, she eats, she meows, she enjoys being petted..... I don't know what to do. My plan is just to keep an eye on her and when it seems she's in pain, or her quality of life is diminishing then I will take her to the vet and have her put down. Does this seem like a reasonable plan? She's a good kitty, but she's very old and those tumors don't seem to be bothering her any.
  3. And I also liberally applied snail-bait so I can say, "die little snails! Die". Last spring I planted a sweet little basil plant one afternoon and went out the next morning and it had disappeared. I looked hard and found a little stub with the roots on it. The £€*^&$ snails had eaten the whole thing.
  4. I'm back. I went to the nursery and got tomato plants, colored bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, some marigolds and some herbs. And then I went to the AFSA and spent waaaay too much $$.
  5. A friend of my mom's died Wednesday of cancer and it's kind of gotten me thinking about death. Not in a bad way, really. But just in a "we're all getting older, facing my own mortality" sort of way. My family has lived in the same town all our live, both my parents grew up in this area (town and church) and went to the same Christian high school I did and that DS will go to, and so I've known this woman all my life (as did my parents, she was in the same Bible Study group my mom was in that was started before I was even born, and these ladies still get together for breakfast monthly ), even though I wasn't particularly close to her, KWIM? It's just kind of a strange feeling, you think your life just kind of goes on and nothing really changes and then people who have just kind of been part of the fabric of your life die and then you realize that things aren't the way you think they are. I don't know if that makes any sense at all.
  6. How did you get the baked on/stuck on crud? I've tried boiling water, BonAmi, elbow grease and my stove top is not in good shape.
  7. Good Morning!!, COFFEE!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸
  8. I pulled some weeds in my boysenberry bush. Boysenberry bushes are pokie. It's a beautiful, warm afternoon out.
  9. I can send you my cat. She's a pretty good mouser.
  10. I did. I love the name "Bertram Leonard Hathaway". It rolls right off the tongue. I would hire him. It just might not be what Critter is looking for, though.
  11. I know. I actually thought about that the other day.
  12. Well, the "Haww" sound is very bland to me. "H" is not a strong consonant and the short "o" sound doesn't do much for me and then combine it with "l" with is just kind of bland....
  13. I was going to suggest Bada$$. I like the name Lila.
  14. do you want an honest answer or do you want a "friend" answer?
  15. Ok, fine!! How about Badrick. That means "ax ruler". I looked it up.
  16. Bertram is awesome. Bertram is not only a writer, mbut he's a musician, too. And grows roses in a garden in the back.
  17. I like Bertram Leonard Hathaway. But only if you're going for the 19th Century female writer using a male pen name sort of thing. 😜
  18. I know, I was just kidding. Actually, Idaho is still on the top of the list of places we would move to if DH found his dream design job that paid him enough to support a family of seven and we could move my parents, too. 😋
  19. Uh....well.... Ok, JJM. I think I'm crossing Idaho off my list of places to move to when California has a complete economic meltdown due to inept leadership. 😂😂 And that's a...a... I have no idea what kind of Booya/h! How about a The-Forsythia-Blooming-in-my-Backyard-is-Making-Me-Happy Booya/h! That works!😊😊
  20. I buy Haas avocados a lot. Most of the time they do ripen on the counter top. You just have to keep an eye on them. They will keep in the fridge for several days after they ripen.
  21. No kidding. Rocco, Roderigo, Swen... Hot beverages, comfie sweats, easy chairs and foot massages for ITT ladies!!
