  1. Good Morning!!!! COFFEE!!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ It's Friday Eve!!
  2. My kids all gave themselves hickeys on their arms.
  3. Ok, so this isn't exactly a JAWM, but if I truly am being an unreasonable hard-a$$, please be gentle. Tonight is the youth group year-end shin dig. The youth group is pretty big and crazy. Oldest DS likes going, he makes friends easily. Youngest DS doesn't like going, but he does go. We do not force him to go. It's his choice, but he doesn't relate well to the other kids. He's a very one-on-one type of kid and he's immature. So, tonight they invited the up-coming 7th graders, who are still 6th graders to join the fun, because they'll be promoted in a couple of weeks anyhow. Second DS translated that into he could invite his best friend who is a 5th grader, but will be in 6th grade. I said "no". I felt bad, but... the thing is age specific. And tbh, it probably wouldn't matter one hoot if best friend came, but he is an immature 5th grader, so i just didn't think it would be a good situation. I guess my issue is that there is a rule and my son wanted it bent. And even if it doesn't matter that much....it's still a rule. And I was in a situation, being director of VBS for 3 years, where people were always asking me to bend the rules for them. And no, it wouldn't have mattered that much, but if I bend it for one person, then others get mad because they obeyed the rules, even if it inconvenienced them. And I just don't want to be one of those people, always asking for special favors. So there!
  4. I'm having COFFEE!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ Anyone surprised?? No?? I didn't think so,
  5. Can they pour themselves a bowl of cereal? Yes? Then you're good. And this is a "It's Never Too Early to Teach Them to Fend for Themselves Booya/h"
  6. So, science is the only subject we do altogether as a "class" and my baby was passing notes to her sister, right in the middle of "class". I was reading the section out of the book (we're doing Jay Wile's "Science in the Beginning", and there's not a ton of reading, but there is some) and she passes a piece of paper to her sister. I couldn't believe it. She's 6. And in homeschool. And she's passing notes. The note said, "my toes are agley"ðŸ˜
  7. Well, thank heavens. I was a bit worried about you!!
  8. Uh.... I have no idea how to potty train. Somehow all five of my kids made it, but I think it was in spite of me, not because of me. And you certainly don't want to hear the story of second DS in the McDonald's play structure and poop rolling down the side of his pant leg and landing in the stairway. And me being a hysterical mom and not knowing it was actually my kid until I got in the car and realized, yes, it was my kid and his poop and avoiding McDonalds for months thereafter. So, no, you don't want me to potty train your kid.
  9. I use the DVDs, not the CDs. The teacher's book, I use it occasionally and definitely the answer key.
  10. ((Spuds)) hope you feel better quickly!! ((Jeannie)) for all the things!! Heather, yay for a successful selling party experience. I actually don't mind going to those, but I refuse to host one. Slashie, hope the appointment goes well. And lots of hugs and warm fuzzies to all the ITT ladies right now because we all need it. You guys are the best!!
  11. Good Morning!!!! COFFEE!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸
  12. we are doing Notgrass with this kid this year. Adam to Us. I like it a lot, I love the pictures and it is interesting. But I would have done Adam to Us with a 4th or 5th grader.
  13. So, in the spirit of all this dieting and eating healthy.... I just ate a couple pieces of frozen mint-chip cookie dough. It was really good.
  14. You sure did!! Boy, you are a glutton for punishment, aren't you girlfriend?
  15. Hmm, I got a booya!!! But I erased everything else I wrote.
  16. Trigger Warning: Educational Content ahead. Reported. I'm trying to figure out History for DS for next year. 8th grade. U.S. History. I've got several of Hakim's History of US books, but I'm not sure what to do with them besides read them. I need some maps and worksheets and junk like that. Arthur, where is Arthur?? He writes curriculum on the ITT Island. You just give him a vague idea of what you want and he whips it out for you in a day and a half.
  17. People here are relatively quiet. I have fiesta chicken in the crock pot for dinner.
  18. I have no idea about any of that, but according to my Gyn, I have a beautiful cervix. That's good enough for me.
  19. I lost 15 with carb cycling, but now I am in a plateau. I haven't gained any back, but I can't get the momentum back to lose the rest of the 30 I set out to lose.
