Hi everyone, Im trying to come up with something to go along with LoL (Layers of Learning) and I really am thinking of purchasing Language Lessons Through Literature (now called English Lessons Through Literature). For some reason I think this will go well with LoL . If I purchase this is Bravewriter needed? Everyone on this board has been SO helpful. I now need help in deciding on a FULL language arts curriculum. If I decide to use Brave Writer what else would be best to include. My children are rising grade 6/7 and 4. So I guess I am looking for writing, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. (it can be either faith based or secular ) Susan Khan

I allow my 17 year old daughter to play M games. It does depend on the game. She likes the fighting ones.

If you email the site you should get an answer pretty quickly. I emailed them and with in a few hours had my answers :)

We have use the whole curriculum and were very happy. As with anything you can choose to supplement. For example when we were studying the American Revolution we went very in depth . This curriculum was designed to be used as a STAND alone :)

Thank you all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really tried to do things different today and many of those were in your advise. Amazingly this has been her BEST day yet!!!! I was so embarrassed to ask for help. I feel a lot of it was me not having the patience and going over things until she got it. Well today I relaxed, took the time and WOW. She was so happy and so excited about learning. I guess because my 10 year old was so advanced and things came easy for him I sadly thought she would be the same. I am homeschooling my two children ages 8 and 10. My 10 year old is not an issue at all. However my 8 year old girl is driving me crazy !!! I have tried almost everything and I can not get her to be interested in school. I will be giving her a lesson and she will just stare off into space. I then ask her a question and she answers with such an odd remark. It is always a battle with her. I feel like I am failing her and my frustration is building each day. I find myself getting mad at her and that is NOT the way I want this to be. She is very strong willed and will just sigh or say I dont know all the time. She is already behind according to her grade level . I also have included all the learning styles with her lessons but that does not work either. Should I just put her back in public school????
