  1. Pam, just want to say that I enjoy reading your questions on the boards. Your questions are similar to things I wonder about, too, from time to time. I always want to know the "why" behind something. Like astronomy vs. earth first. :D (I picked earth because I wanted to go from something more familiar to something more unfamiliar)

  2. Hugs to Kalanamak and family.

  3. Hi, I just replied to your thread about wheat berries.

  4. Hi Dyan! Remember our R&S Recordkeeping course conversation/thread from a year ago? Well, I saved it all this time, and reviewed it again just now. I just wanted to say thanks again for helping me - you answered every single question in an understandable manner. And I had questions in my mind today, that I realized were answered by you in that thread! I am going to buy this course, thanks to your help. I don't know when I'll have each kid go through it, but I will. And it will always be here on my shelf, in case their skills start fading away (as you warned), so they can review, too. Thank you!!!!

  5. Hey, I just want to say that I've really appreciated your posts over the past few months. Esp. the ones about science study, math, and university experience.

  6. Gosh, I'm super-glad you decided to start posting here!! I just read your first 30 posts, and you are a WEALTH of nitty-gritty science-teaching info.! I'm not reading any salesmanship in any of your posts, either. Thanks for helping us out!!

  7. Thanks for bumping my thread up, Ester. It was nice to see you peeking in there, and I thank you for your encouraging comment.

  8. I'm glad to see you posting again!! You've got a lot of really helpful insight and experience to share.

  9. Please come back and participate some more! I enjoyed reading your well-thought out posts!!! :D

  10. Lisa, thank you for all your help in my chemistry threads - your input gave me lots of food for thought! Now I just have to sift through those threads/links again and come up with a knowledgeable plan.

  11. Thank you for the kind compliment on the homeschool consultant thread! That blessed me.

  12. Thank you SO much for your extremely detailed answers to my very detailed questions about physics. Your answers really helped me a lot. I'm going there now to answer everyone, but it will probably take me a little while....answer forthcoming!

  13. Listen to those writing lectures, and worry no more! :D

  14. Hello, just dropping by to say I think you're doing a great job with figuring out how you want to homeschool your kids! :)

  15. You're welcome - I'm glad you liked the lectures, too!

  16. I'll be interested to hear if she meets Dr. Harbinson and how she likes his teaching. He used to teach dance in YWAM, and he also taught about the arts from a Biblical worldview. I still have that teaching on tape and I loved it! He is very passionate about it. He has a huge heart for young artists. And a very funny British sense of humour. He wrote a musical drama a long time ago, called Toymaker and Son (google it), and then trained hundreds of mission teams to perform it around the world in several languages (the narrator on the tape). He trained others to train teams, too. I performed on two of those teams for several months at a time - it was soooooooo much fun, and a powerful message in its time. Dh and I adore the guy! :)

  17. Thank you for your kind note! And you are welcome. :)

  18. Congrats on your daughter deciding on Belhaven! I used to work with a missions organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and one of my favourite leaders/teachers/creative arts pioneer at the former Cambridge, Ontario YWAM arts centre is Dr. Colin Harbinson. He now works at Belhaven, and he is a lot of fun. Maybe your dd will come across him sometime.

  19. hee hee, we seem to agree on a lot of homeschooling things lately! :)

  20. You're welcome. It's nice to know something I wrote has been helpful to someone! :)

  21. Welcome to the boards! Glad to see another poster who enjoys using WTM ideas.

  22. Lucky you, living in Nassau!! I visited there in 1989, a friend of mine was from there. She has since lived in the States for many years, but I believe she is back in the Bahamas and has been there for a few years again. She's a homeschooler, too, at least the last I knew. She may even be back in Nassau...by any chance do you know a Crystal Lowe Oneal?

  23. Some of your posts. I just notice your name a lot on some of the posts I'm interested in, too.
