This is one of the reasons why I like the "classic" YNAB, and I really don't want to switch to the new YNAB. The other reason is that we purchased the classic YNAB as a one-time expense. I really hate the subscription concept to continually pay for software. I'm looking for a replacement now for classic YNAB...
Dave Ramsey has a new one. Everydollar I think. I used it for a few months but had some of the same problems quill mentioned.
We've been happy with Every Dollar. It's simple so we actually use it and free!

Done. It made me realize how little I share with my brother because he hasn't been interested. Now, he's facing a major chronic illness so I want to give him his space to grieve and learn to cope.

Thank you! I'm happy to have some new stores to check out. :thumbup1:

Eddie bauer has tall sizes. No geeky tees though.
Thanks, I haven't looked at Eddie Bauer yet.
JCP has a big and tall section. Try there.
So far, I've only been able to find size Large that's also big and tall at JCP. They do have dress shirts in fitted with longer sleeves that we've been able to buy to go with his suit.

In size L. My ds is almost 6'4 and needs the length in "tall" shirts. He really likes geek type of shirts. I found him one last summer from Macy's online but haven't seen anything since then.
Lately, I've been buying him TL shirts in slim-fit design online from Old Navy. He has been wearing Old Navy button-downs and the shirts fit well. Unfortunately, he doesn't care for many of the Old Navy T-shirts.
Where else can I look for t-shirts?

No data on phone. Filtering on computer - although I'm not sure it's working correctly with Windows 10.

Could you look at some free classes? http://allinonehighschool.com/

My dd is doing Windows to the World in 8th with her older brother. It's more literary analysis, not technical writing skills. I plan to have her start Student Writing Intensive Level C in 9th then work through Continuation in 10th.

I'm sorry for your loss. What a blessing to have done life together for so many years! :grouphug:

Please don't look at it like you are going against your daughter's wishes. She isn't thinking clearly right now. You have to do what is medically necessary to bring her back to health. I'm sorry it's such a tough place to be.

We have, and really enjoy, homeschool in the woods timeline.
http://www.homeschoolinthewoods.com/timelinematerials.html
We paired it with their cd of timeline figures and it's fantastic. It's a little pricey but it was a good investment for us.
We have this timeline book and like it a lot too.
This year, we're studying 1900s+ history. I bought a used book with short descriptions and photos. My dd is cutting the photos out (yes, you can do that if you own the book!) after we read and putting them on the timeline.
I also put in tiny photos of the kids' art and field trips that go along with specific time periods.

Oh my goodness, I thought of this thread when I was at Costco for my dh to look at glasses. I tried on a few pairs and thought, "Oh, my mom is here!"

I still feel grateful that very early in my homeschool career, a discussion on the FIAR forums got me thinking about the need to plan for a post-homeschool life ( which obviously doesn't have to mean paid employment, but does, for a lot of us.)
I think it was Steve Lambert, actually, who started that discussion. And good on him - it's the best bit of homeschool advice I've ever been given.
I was there for that discussion! It was very powerful, and I took it to heart. I started working very, very part-time to build my resume. I'm so grateful, especially as I look at needing to work full-time when my dd graduates.

I would love to take full responsibility for this, but I can't. It is a group of friends and we do all try to get along. Me being a hard-*ss just makes me the bad guy.
The best I can do it stop being the planner. I am not wiling to have people mad at me over what is meant to be a fun social event.
But is it fair for them to put you through this stress? Why do you have to carry the burden? I like the idea of letting them add themselves by calling the restaurant if they can make it.

Oh, I'd like one too! I was part of Community Bible Study for years and loved it.

My friend does swimgear each year - suit, towel, goggles.
We do something to help them with their faith so new Christian music, books, DVDs, etc.
I like the idea of hiding eggs with money in them as my dd can't have chocolate anymore!

We talked about it in a matter-of-fact way, that some people post pictures of n*ked bodies online.
We taught them not to try to "click" away from the screen as it can open up other screens/photos. We told them to close the laptop or walk away from the computer immediately (and they wouldn't get into trouble). We talked about telling friends to put it away, but haven't run into that yet. We talked about how we use filters. All kinds of things we shouldn't ever have to talk about. Sigh.

My dd(14) is dog sitting for a neighbor for 35 days off and on this summer. She plans to pass out business cards while walking the dog this week to get more clients.
My ds(17) is planning to work in the fall or for the holidays then try to keep the job into next year.

Justice. They carry up to size 20.

It sounds like you have a good plan in place. It's okay for friendships to change. :grouphug:
