Continuing to pray!

That's terrible!

Oh no, praying! :grouphug:

Since your kids like to look at them, I wouldn't take on such a big project. Perhaps move to Shutterfly books in the future. That's what I did. I scrapbooked all of our photos for awhile, then moved to scrapbooking just a theme of "Traveling with Daddy" since we travel for fun with my dh for work. Now, I plan to make Shutterfly books.

I agree. My son has made great progress using the free Khan SAT program.

I agree with the advice to make an appointment with a counselor at your local community college rather than work toward a GED. More information will give you an idea of what you need to learn and what you need to do!

Congratulations! :hurray:

:hurray: Isn't it a great feeling? Good for you!

There's no guarantee your parents won't need to sell the house to cover their future medical expenses. I'd move on with my life and not make it part of my financial decisions. I do hope someday you are able to enjoy living there.

I'm so sorry.

My dd used Cover Story last year and loved it! She's using The Institute for Excellence in Writing: Student Writing Intensive Group C DVDs this semester for writing skills. She'll start OYAN in January and work through it over a year and a half or so. Then, she'll use IEW's Student Writing Intensive Continuation Course Level C DVDs as a sophomore or junior for longer essay writing skills.
My ds used both IEW DVD programs very successfully.

I take a LesMills BodyPump class with my dc 2-3x a week.
My dd and I also take BodyFlow (Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi combo) 1-2x week.

My mom with chronic pain has found the whole memory foam mattress better than just a topper. Perhaps you could buy both so your dd could try them and her sister could have the one that didn't work as well. It's so important to have a good bed when you struggle with chronic pain. :grouphug:

My ds learned quite a bit from the Apologia book. I'm going to have my dd use it next year.

Thanks, my ds just got a blue one.

Trip!
My dh is taking ds to Minecon (Minecraft Convention) in CA for ds' 18th birthday. It'll be a trip for the two of them!

It has been fabulous! Our living room is so peaceful and beautiful. We all love reading there!
I don't fold any clothes but everything fits fine in my closet. The KonMari method helps me with shopping. Just today, I found 3 great workout shirts for $2/each on clearance at a local consignment store. After trying them on, I realized one of them didn't make me feel great - so out to the donation pile it went! I usually try things on and only buy clothes that spark joy. I have fewer clothes but I look better in them.
I had to get something out of our shed the other day and was thrilled to see how organized it was and how open it felt! I had forgotten we KonMaried it too.

We have a Roku and currently use Sling, Hulu and Amazon (to buy shows not on the other two). My dh likes to watch football and Sling has ESPN, etc.
ETA: Sling is only average in reception but the cheapest way we've found for the channels we want.

I'd suggest you take the dress and shoes with you when you're hat shopping so you can see how they all look together. Perhaps you can find a hat to match!

Nope. I didn't find anything last year either. I wish I had purchased the gift card deal. At the time, I was frustrated that they didn't have the things I was looking for on sale so I didn't want to participate in the sale day.

I'm glad to hear he's in a great hospital with wonderful treatment. Praying he heals quickly! :grouphug:
