Hi, We live in Mississippi and lost our home in Hurricane Katrina. Our town was demolished and all my friends and families' houses were gone too. We have rebuilt and it is slow for our town to come back, but it's happening. You all are in our prayers and I hope you can get to places that are out of harm's way. this is not a book, but the john adams' series is awesome that was on hbo a few years back. you can get it on netflix too. also the book johnny tremain is great for that time period. there was a movie made from that book that you can get on dvd. 2 years ago we did a revolutionary war trip up east coast and it was so awesome. my son is now in 10 grade learning us history and still talks about that trip. everything on early history of forming our country he has seen with his own eyes. just a thought. angel

go on vrbo.com we have used it tons. often i can get an apartment for less than a hotel room and have tons of room to stretch out in. also, i have my own washer/dryer and kitchen to save on food expenses. i hardly ever use hotels anymore! have fun. angel

I am an R.N. and used to be a school nurse. Go get your child tested to determine what the allergy is. In the meantime, if you suspect it is peanuts, avoid them and i'm not just talking about eating them. Some people who are highly allergic can have a reaction even if the peanuts are in the same room. Start looking at labels for hidden peanut oils. Start educating yourself online with food allergies on reputatable sites like mayo clinic for one. The allergy can progress past hives at any given time. The doctor will probably prescribe an EPI-Pen to keep on hand. You will need to notify the school (if your child attends), and have a "food allergy action plan" completed and on file with school nurse. Your doc will complete the action plan for you to know what to do if any symptoms arise. Don't be discouraged. There's alot of things to learn with this, and a great deal of information, but you will get the hang of it before long. You can develop an allergy at any age. Strange, I know! Hope this helps. I'm an R.N. Do you have a post nasal drip? If yes, the drainage is probably dripping down, going into your stomach. The drainage can make you nauseated. Not sure bout the shaky hands other than you really don't feel good. Have you been eating? Your blood sugar may be a little low. Twinge in chest--have you been coughing? could be a muscle thing with coughing alot. If not, I wonder if the cold is in your lungs and that is making the pain. can you go see doc? He can prescribe some meds that can help you better than the OTC stuff. Besides it may be bacterial in which case you will need antibiotic. Hope you get well soon. :001_smile:

i've done this before too shopping the day after thanksgiving with heavy bags. i had some nerve demage in my smallest 5th finger. it took awhile, but got better. i didn't go to doc. angel

go to VRBO.com. rent a house with a pool. you will have plenty of room and the cost is great. we hardly ever stay in hotels anymore and we love it. my sister is staying in a house right now in orlando that they rented for disney world etc... have fun!

I think nowadays we all look at these pranks differently and it's really not politically correct anymore. I wonder where the adults were?? If in cabins and depending how big they are, older college students etc... should be sleeping there too.
