  1. Got my broken tooth root extracted. It won't stop bleeding (2 hours) but now that I am biting on gauze, I seem to remember it taking a long time with wisdom teeth as a teen.
  2. Does it have a phone app you can download to see the watch status. Probably around 5 seconds. Do you know what brand it is?
  3. Is there a button on the side? Ours you have to do a long hold press to get it to power up
  4. Had to go to the dentist. Has a deep cleaning. Only my jaw hurt during from staying open, now my gums are sore. Have to go get my broken molar removed, so doing that Thursday. I wish my teeth weren't this awful. Genetics plus an early onset autoimmune disease plus lots of childhood antibiotics really messed with them.
  5. Shark teeth! My kids had them...the dentist said if they didn't come out by the next cleaning, then we'd talk, we never had to talk about removal. And to be clear, we didn't go in special, just if the dentist saw them at a cleaning visit, they said wait at least 6 months to see if it falls out on its own.
  6. I caught eldest with a fork in the center console of their car so we had a few reminder words, lol. After the kiddos started public school we lost a couple of silverware pieces. I ordered replacements for them to remain in the house and then went to WalMart and bought cheap metal spoons and forks that were only for lunches. No more lost nice pieces!
  7. @mommyoffiveThe basement is adding a bedroom and office(we couldn't add a 4th bedroom because of septic size, so one room doors not have a closet)and then finishing the family room. When we moved in, the basement was "finished", but so poorly done and ugly we knew we would gut it. We have used the space through the years, but not for the last couple as we've been working on things. It will be nice to spread out and let the teens have space and a place to hang with friends. With the two of them each having a room down there, I will get a space for my art stuff/hobbies/DHs listening space. So now it is insulated (important in MN, but that wasn't a thing in the 70s), wired properly with updated HVAC, Sheetrock (not paneling) and flooring. I will have to dig up pics from when we bought the house 14 years ago.
  8. Thanks! This blue is on 2 walls of eldests room. I really like the color.
  9. One room now has ceiling installed. It was the most putzy room since there was HVAC soffit to work around and the majority of the tiles had to be trimmed or have a cutout made in them. Overall the install went smoothly. We've worked out some of the kinks in the process, so hopefully the next ones go up a little quicker.
  10. Progress went slower than expected, but this room is our most putzy one. We will probably work on it some tomorrow.
  11. Wonderful update! Wishing you tremendous progress in rehab!
  12. Installing grid ceiling today. Eldest is sick with congestion and had a fever yesterday. Might go out for tacos tonight.
  13. It's my birthday. Picked up stuff for El Pastor tacos and a cheesecake. Work is still busy, just trying to find the rhythm and balance of classes/grading/planning. It will come, but this week is busier as the behavior honeymoon period ended and I have a new unit starting Monday.
  14. Picked up supplies for the drop ceiling tonight at Menards. Had mushroom and swiss burgers for supper.
  15. Today was a better day with my 4th hour class...not great, but better, so I'll take it. Spent the evening figuring out supplies we need to order for electrical (lights, smoke detectors) and ceiling (a flush mount grid system).
  16. Is that the one close to your family so they can visit? Or are you still far from them?
  17. Woke up an hour before my alarm, so that's awesome. I have most of this week planned out for students. I need to plan next week out. Hopefully my supply order comes in.
  18. Dinner done, movie time. Groceries will be here soon. The to-do list is too long...I ended up giving the dog a haircut while we were outside this afternoon. Someday the chaos will calm again and I can feel like I don't have a million things to do. My long school to-do list will wait until tomorrow as I don't give up my freetime for unpaid work. Hopefully that will get into a rhythm soon as even though I won't do the work, my mind still thinks about everything needing to be done and then overthinks it.
  19. Spent the morning cleaning up, a little bit inside of the house and some outside of the house. Got some weeding done and paper piles sorted. It is amazing how much gets neglected when you do home improvement projects. I got my errands done during football and the game just ended, so I have great timing. Laundry is folded. Now to sit and maybe start a fire. Grilling brats for supper.
  20. Today is mostly a day of rest ( I hope). Eldest has a model rocket launch to attend in the afternoon. I haven't checked in with young one to see if they still have a fever. Hopefully not. I might run a couple errands while football is on this afternoon...we'll see. I think we have to make a Menards run this morning, however to prepare for ceiling install next weekend.
  21. What a treasured gift! Have fun uncovering all the hidden gems!
  22. Busy day...Worked in the basement. I cleaned the bathroom (sheetrock dust gets everywhere). Everything had to be wiped down. Then I washed floors to get rid of dust/mud drops. Windows were cleaned and tools we won't need to use with the rest of the project were taken out. We brought one of the kids beds downstairs (nothing else will go until ceiling is in place and flooring is in. Then minimal stuff until trim is installed). Big one is staying upstairs for now and so I helped with cleaning the upstairs room to get things re-sorted. Turns out young one has a fever and has been lethargic. Hopefully big one stays well as their anxiety peaks when anyone is sick/or if they get sick.
