Today I finished Beginnings: Worlds of Honor 6 (Honor Harrington- Anthologies) by David Weber, Charles E. Gannon, and more. This is an off-shoot of the Honor Harrington series I've been reading. Those books have been getting longer (the current one is upwards of 800 pages!), so I haven't had much to post in terms of finished books. Like most anthologies, I liked some stories better than others. I previously finished Keira Andrews' male/male romance In Case of Emergency. It was an okay read, but I could wish have wished for more story. (Adult content) Regards, Kareni -

If you can't access a dog in time for the holiday, perhaps you could give a stuffed dog toy and a dog caring book. Regards, Kareni- 124 replies

Fluxx is so named because the rules and goals change throughout the game. I've found that people tend to have strong feelings about the game -- some love it, some hate it. There are many variations available. You can see a selection here. And here's a list from the company that produces the game: Batman Fluxx Chemistry Fluxx Cthulhu Fluxx Doctor Who Fluxx Firefly Fluxx Fluxx Dice Fluxx SE - in hangtab packaging Holiday Fluxx Math Fluxx Monster Fluxx - in hangtab packaging Monty Python Fluxx Nature Fluxx Pirate Fluxx Star Fluxx Zombie Fluxx There are also foreign language versions, I see. From the company's site: "Game Play It all begins with one basic rule: Draw one card, Play one card. You start with a hand of three cards... add the card you drew to your hand, and then choose one card to play, following the directions written on your chosen card. As cards are drawn and played from the deck, the rules of the game change from how many cards are drawn, played or even how many cards you can hold at the end of your turn." Regards, Kareni

A limited time offer from Tor.com ~ Download a Free Ebook of Luna: New Moon by Ian McDonald Before December 15, 2018! "In Ian McDonald’s Luna: New Moon, the scions of a falling house must navigate a world of corporate warfare to maintain their family’s status in the Moon’s vicious political atmosphere. The Moon wants to kill you. Maybe it will kill you when the per diem for your allotted food, water, and air runs out, just before you hit paydirt. Maybe it will kill you when you are trapped between the reigning corporations-the Five Dragons-in a foolish gamble against a futuristic feudal society. On the Moon, you must fight for every inch you want to gain. And that is just what Adriana Corta did. As the leader of the Moon’s newest “dragon,” Adriana has wrested control of the Moon’s Helium-3 industry from the Mackenzie Metal corporation and fought to earn her family’s new status. Now, in the twilight of her life, Adriana finds her corporation-Corta Helio-confronted by the many enemies she made during her meteoric rise. If the Corta family is to survive, Adriana’s five children must defend their mother’s empire from her many enemies… and each other." Regards, Kareni -
Quiddler and SET are big favorites here, but I haven't had the chance to play any of the others. I've certainly heard good things about all of them. Another favorite here is Fluxx. Thanks for sharing, ScoutTN. Regards, Kareni
