It isn't so much a problem with the curriculum as a problem with my son. We may end up going back to it after a break. I like Jacob's and he did fine with it (albeit slow), but he does best with variety so we are mixing it up a bit by adding in geometry for a while. We do use the Callahan dvds. Jacob's isn't "self-teaching" and I found I was expecting more from my son than he was able to do on his own. I needed to sit with him more.
