  1. Question: Why would a woman as BA as Padme ever hook up with a loser like Anakin? The Eternal Question. Sigh. ETA: A Padme is BA, Anakin is a loser BOOYA!
  2. I wouldn't panic. What type of tampon? On my heaviest day, for example, I bleed through a super plus in about an hour. :glare: (Now, if it's a super plus, it's certainly concerning.)
  3. I think that there is no normal for young girls at the start, but I would definitely call and discuss this with her pediatrician. :grouphug: for your DD; I hope she isn't freaked out. Started can be emotional enough. Bleeding so heavily is just...bleh.
  4. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: and prayers for you and baby. I hope that you find a doctor who will listen to you. I've been in a similar place, and the right doctor made a huge difference. More :grouphug: and I'll add you to my prayer list.
  5. DD did math and Latin. Then we friended all day. The two besties are currently playing Splatoon, and the smoker is valiantly trying to yummify a tri-tip (Although 42 degrees is super warm for February, it may still be a wee chilly for the smoker. But I begged. I am ashamed. ) Make that a Booya for Besties!
  6. Hmm. Just thought of something. Is "yo" actually a pronoun? What is it exactly? What does it mean? :scared: How does one diagram it????
  7. Today is a school day at Rivendell but not at public school. Jo and her bestie are on friend withdrawal. I am hoping to accomplish much in the morning and throw in the towel early. Unfortunately, the short person has an extra Latin session today to cover the tense that will be on the NLE Latin 2 exam that is not covered this year in her curriculum. So I have a scheduling conundrum. I strongly suspect that I will do whatever to bring bestie over. Friendship trumps all.
  8. Lemme know, so's I can start packin'. Packin' HEAT, yo. (The pronoun "yo" was brought to you today in honor of the Lady Tex.)
  9. :grouphug: , Tex. FYI, there was absolutely no elbowing or body-checking at the Mathcounts Competition. Geeks Rule!
  10. I think it's more, "working on self-control by not posting during Lent." I don't think it's that she is giving US up. Even though it does kinda feel like that, because I have all the wisdom and maturity of a six-year-old, apparently.
  11. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for critter and Captain. Yay for the Falcons! Good show! Yay for Tex and her amazing restraint! (I assume a mass slaughter of JV refs in Texas would have made the national news.) Yay for Jean and her persistent stepping! Yay for getting to church! Mary: I second the "Bolt those suckers to the wall." I still miss Slash. But I'm praying for strength for her anyway.

  13. But the nearest IKEA if over 400 miles away. So there is that.
  14. :scared: Our county of less than 60,000 41,000 [i got curious and looked it up :) ] has a large, loved, well-funded library. They make it a policy choice to keep fines super low, and they allow the public school kids to hang out unsupervised after school (we have a high percentage of working class folks who can't afford any formal aftercare.) The library was a major plus point in picking this as our final destination. Your posts made me remember that the branches of the library at our prior place of residence were open for like 15 minutes every other week. And, at the downtown branch, when I asked the librarian the location of the restroom, I got a lecture on not letting my then 7-year-old go to the bathroom alone or even out of my line of sight. Ever. I'm so glad we moved. Edited to fix the number.
  15. To be fair less hostile, the upgrade is supposed to solve some problems. But I hate computers and I hate new and I hate learning new computer stuff.
